Pricing questions, answered directly
What is the difference between a subscription and a project engagement?
Project engagements are fixed-scope implementations with a defined start, end, and deliverable — a NetSuite go-live, a SOC 2 certification, a ServiceNow deployment. Subscriptions are ongoing monthly retainers that keep your platforms healthy, optimized, and strategically aligned after a project concludes. Projects create the asset. Subscriptions compound its value.
Who qualifies for a subscription tier?
Cold Sun Capital subscriptions are available to organizations that have completed an implementation project with us, or that have been referred by an existing implementation client. This is intentional: we only take ongoing responsibility for platforms we have built or audited. It ensures we know your environment and can commit to the SLAs and optimization outcomes each tier promises.
What counts as an implementation hour?
Implementation hours cover any work that modifies, extends, or enhances your platform: workflow changes, new report builds, minor integration updates, dashboard configuration, user permission changes, and similar tasks. They do not cover new module rollouts, major data migrations, or net-new platform implementations — those are scoped as separate project engagements, available to subscribers at a priority rate.
Do unused implementation hours roll over to the next month?
No. Hours are scoped monthly to ensure your platform receives consistent attention. Unused hours do not accumulate. If you consistently find yourself not using hours, that is a signal you may be on the wrong tier — and we will tell you so proactively.
Which platforms do the tiers cover?
Any platform Cold Sun Capital implements: Salesforce (all clouds including Field Service), NetSuite, Sage Intacct, IFS Cloud, IT Security posture, ServiceNow, and SAP S/4HANA. Platform Guard covers one of your choice. Platform Optimize covers any two. Strategic Partner covers up to four simultaneously.
How does the annual billing discount work?
Annual subscribers receive the equivalent of two months free — paying 10 months' cost for a full 12-month commitment. Billing is charged annually in advance. Annual agreements also include a locked rate with no mid-year price adjustments.
Can I change tiers after signing up?
Yes. You can upgrade at any time — the new rate applies from the next billing cycle and new platforms or hours are available immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal date. We review tier fit quarterly as part of our platform health process.
What happens if I need a new full implementation while on a subscription?
Subscribers receive priority access to Cold Sun Capital project capacity — you jump the queue ahead of new project clients. New implementations are scoped and priced as separate project engagements at a subscriber discount. The subscription continues uninterrupted alongside any active project.
Not sure which option fits?
A 30-minute strategy call is the fastest way to scope the right project or subscription for your environment — no commitment, no hard pitch.
